TRADE DIVERSION
Изменение направления торговли
Переориентация международной торговли в результате образования таможенного союза или зоны свободной торговли. Между странами-членами союза упраздняются торговые барьеры, однако они сохраняются в торговле с третьими странами. Это способствует расширению торговли между странами-членами за счет вытеснения импорта из третьих стран (см. Trade creation). Таким образом, создание таможенных союзов препятствует повышению экономического благосостояния всех стран мира. См. также World trade organization.
